Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Hideo Kojima is released later this month, but for those who can’t wait, it’s on stage today at the Summer Competition Festival, showing off new clips from the game.
The clip shows two new characters: Lucy (played by Alissa Jung) and Neil (Luca Marinelli). Neil is the porter, just like our friend Sam Porter Bridge. The two shared an emotional moment that was triggered by a common brand in their hands, and Neil seemed to recall Lucy from somewhere in the past, Lucy was very frustrated with something. Kojima revealed that Neil will play a similar role in performance and emotional impact as Mickelson's last game.
Death Stranding 2 is the sequel to the Hideo Kojima open world delivery adventure game. Its features fragile, and Sam took place in the first title for many years.
September, Kojima Productions shared some from Death Stranding 2: On the Beachshow off its super weird photo mode, the man dancing puppets, the role played by mad Max director George Miller and more weirdness from Hideo Kojima's mind.
We also see a nude Norman Reedus walking through the black slimy goo, encountering a man named Tarman (played by Miller) and his flying pet cat, as well as a creepy talking puppet. Other roles include Tomorrow (played by Elle Fanning) and Rainy (played by Shioli Kutsuna). It was released on PS5 on June 26, 2025.
