Dunes: Awakening available rentable private servers at release – this is yours (and not)

You didn't get enough – what about you Do What if you rent a private server? Funcom says you will be able to completely disable the secure zone, “enable all parts of Hagga Basin Pvp,” or you can have the pocket of PVP, just like an official server. You can also disable taxes and dust storms and name the server and set a password for it. If the private server owner knows the password or even claims land (things you can't even do on the official server), you can also access other world servers.

“It's not easy to provide a private server for Dunes: Awakening, considering our unique massive multiplayer setup, and it's important for us to keep a basic MMO-like gameplay, which makes Dune: Dune: Dune: Awakening so unique,” the team concluded. “This means it does put some restrictions on how to configure them compared to some other survival games like Conan Exiles.”

“However, we hope that this service will still make sense for those who like to play on the server, you don’t have to share it with others, we hope that the shared world structure will add an extra dimension without getting rid of the elimination of Dune’s unique content and mechanism: what it is.”

“It also feels good to explore and further understand the world I really like, as a long-time fan of Dunes, and Funcom has obviously put a lot of effort into world building and knowledge, despite taking a lot of creative freedom compared to books/movies.” IGN's Dunes: Awakening Enclosed Beta Impressions Preview.

“There are almost no details that have a huge impact on the gameplay. I won't get into the spoilers, but this attention to detail can touch almost every aspect of the world, including the factions and characters you encounter along the way, which should be a treat for any ambient fans.”

Dune: Awakening is scheduled to be released on June 10, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S After a three-week delay to fix issues identified during its beta testing.
