First of all Game Awards in 2022Bioscience author director Ken Levine, upcoming narrative-driven RPG, Judasstill shrouded in mystery. Developed by Levine's new studio Ghost Story Games, Judas is almost immediately known by fans as “Bioshock in Space.” But as the game's launch gets closer, it's clear that while Judas will certainly draw on the inspiration that made Levine a household name series, it's not just a bioshock with futuristic paint. Judah has his own identity.
While details are still relatively sparse, trailers, preview events and developer interviews have painted players’ expectations for Levin’s latest creations. If you're interested in decoding this mysterious RPG, keep scrolling to figure out everything we have about Judas, from plot details to game features and everything in between.
When will Judas be launched?
Judas was originally Planned to be released in March 2025but March comes and goes, without Levine and the developers in the Ghost Story game peeking.
Currently, Judah has no official release date. this The game's steam page List its release date as “coming soon.” In recent earnings reports Take-Two lists the release date of the game As “Announcement”.
What platforms are Judas publishing?
Judas will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
What is Judas about?
The game’s description on Steam reads: “A disintegrating starship. A desperate escape plan. You are the mysterious and troubled Judas. The only hope of survival is to build or break alliances with your greatest enemies. Will you work together to solve the problem of bankruptcy – or will you leave it to burn?”
The player will step onto the shoes of the above-mentioned troubled protagonist Judas. Judah is a woman who seems to live and work on a spacecraft, called Mayflower. Mayflower has suffered some kind of disaster recently, based on the description of the game – Judas himself was at least partially responsible. Many areas of the ship have been broken, suppressed or set on fire, with the goal being clear: no matter how much the cost is.

Based on the protagonist’s biblical name, betrayal is likely to be the main theme in the game’s narrative, although it is not clear whether Judas himself is a betrayer or a betrayed person. Interestingly, the game's trailer shoots with injured Android, they look the same as humans, but have a glowing green circle on their hands.
A obviously injured Judas declared in the game's announcement trailer: “This ship is dying.” “My only way out is to go with them. ”
In fact, Judas herself might be an Android, as the game video shows a glowing green circle on the back of one of her hands and shoots out plasmid-like power. Judas may actually be a robot-enhancing person, Seiber Punk's protagonist V in 2077. But if so, Judas is Very Large Enhancement – Another trailer clip shows her floating enemies outside the enemy's surrounding damaged Mayflower room…without any kind of suit to protect her body from the vacuum of the open space.

Time travel may also be the theme in the game's narrative, as another trailer has a quick jump that can be seen near the wall calendar, indicating that the year was 1979. However, this may also be a fantasy, but some remarks in the trailer suggest that some remarks in the game show that in a world, this is recorded by the memory of the large fraternity and suggest a resident attitude, and suggests that the attitude of play reveals the attitude of play, reveals the attitude of the past, reveals the attitude of the past, reveals the attitude of the past, reveals the attitude of the copy. Western world style.
Other shots in the game trailer quote the “Big Three”, three characters once controlled Mayflower. The Big Three is made up of hope, a young woman with pink hair and a childlike aesthetic. Nefertiti, a woman with strange mechanical abilities, has an affinity for fashion; Tom, a middle-aged man wearing a cowboy hat. It seems that these three characters are enemies of Judah, and players may have to choose which Judah escaped the ship.
“I’m here to keep you free.” Judas says in a trailer When she presses a button, she ignores the warning from the computer terminal, that doing so will lead to a catastrophic failure. “Whether you like it or not.”

The game's trailer shows that it is expected to receive an M rating. According to ESRB, M-level games are “usually suitable for 17 years and older”, but “can contain strong violence, blood and blood, sexual content and/or strong language”.
Judas Game Details
While “Biochemical Shock in Space” is a great elevator pitch, what we’ve seen from the game so far shows that Judas is far from a biochemical clone. Yes, this is a narratively driven first-person shooter RPG from the guys who made BioShock, so it’s somewhat similar to the BioShock series. But Judas is also different from Levine's previous work in many ways.
A notable difference between Judas and the Bioshock series is that Judas is a procedurally generated roguelite.
“We call it pseudo-theory because it doesn’t look like my Minecraft. Explain in the interview. “You build all these smaller elemental elements in the game and then teach the game how essentially it is basically at a good level and (a) a good story and most importantly, (make it) react to your work.”
The Big Three seems to be a hologram, and her relationship with everyone will play a major role in the game's narrative. Helping one of the Big Three will increase their affinity for Judah, but will likely dissatisfie at least one of the other two members, with the consequences of anger. If Judah is upset by a member, they may return her to another member by revealing her plan or current position. It's obvious that Judas's story design – especially in player selection – is much deeper than Bioshock's Very Binary “Will you save the little sister or a complete sociopath?” narrative choice.

As for the game's “Roguelite” element, Levine says death is an integral part of the game. Items that allow Jews to recover health are scarce and enemies are everywhere.
“When you die and change yourself, you do have a chance,” Levine said. “Improve yourself, change the toolbox – it’s a pretty extensive and variable toolbox and then change the Mayflower itself.”

Although Judas is far from being a bioshock clone, it still has the hallmarks of Levin's previous works: anti-utopian environment, plasmid-style power and wall suits, such as like a wide robot dog, Judas planks like a bathysphere.
