this Tolkien Myth and Legend Box is a unique collection of JRR Tolkien, as it does not contain stories about Middle-earth. Instead, as the title suggests, it compiles classic myths and legends, two of which were written by the author, while the other two were personal translations of some of his favorites that inspired his work.
Like most of the works published after his death, they were pieced together and edited by his son Christopher Tolkien. Each hardcover book comes with a double-sided dust cover. Just like the history of the Middle Earth box set, there is a fine work of art on one side, while the other has a softer aesthetic with solid colors. These four books are packaged in a compelling display case.
Sir Gorn and the Green Knight/Olfie/Pearl: The translation of the classic epic three poems is paralleled by Tolkien's famous 1953 speech on Sir Gawain.
The legend of Sigurd and Gudrún: A poem by Tolkien. It is inspired by classic poetry and Nordic mythology. In addition to Tolkien's work, you can find notes and comments from Christopher Tolkien.
Arthur's Depravity: The narrative poem written by Tolkien records King Arthur's last days. The book includes extensive notes Tolkien took while drafting his only King Arthur legend. Silmarillion fans will want to read the book because it obviously inspired Tolkien’s Arthurian style middle-aged book.
Beowulf: Beowulf is the most famous – one of the oldest English literature poems, a poem of old English literature, which has received many translations. Tolkien wrote his translation in 1926 and was back. In addition to the translation of the original poem, the book contains a large number of comments by Tolkien himself, which will give readers a glimpse of the scholar Tolkien's thoughts.

The great story of the Middle Ages It is a must-read collection for all dedicated fans of the Lord of the Rings. While it is understandable that although three of the three novels in this collection are not as famous as The Hobbit, Lor, or even Silmarillion, it is the last part of the prose novel that takes place in the author's iconic brilliant fantasy world. All stories took place in the first era of the Middle Ages, so while written and published later than other Tolkien’s books, these are the oldest full-length stories in the Middle Ages.
The new 2025 hardcover comes with a reversible dust cover and features special colored plates, pencil sketches and an illustrated map of Christopher Tolkien and beloved Lotr Illustrator Alan Lee.
Here are three books you find in a beautiful display box, including a breathing fire dragon.
Húrin's Children (2007): Written after Silmarillion's story as an independent prequel, Húrin's children 6,000 years before the Lotr incident. This story is in an era of intense and ongoing war and continuous war and extensive destruction, the Cursed Son of Murlin, named Toulin. If you read Silmarillion, you will recognize some of the names found in this novel.
Beren and Lúthien (2017): Another very early story of Beren and Lúthien in the Middle Ages was redesigned and revised over time and eventually became part of Silmarillion. A compilation of the stories of Lúthien and Beren was originally published in 2017. It shows the evolution of the love story between Man Beren and the immortal elves Lutian.
Gondolin (2018)'s Fallen: Founded by King Tugon The city of the same name was hidden for many years before Lord Morgoth sought to destroy the life of the medieval elves. The fall of the main protagonist of Gondolin is Toulin's cousin, Duer and his family. Toul married Tugon's daughter Edithli. This story is an attempt to save a child after they try to save (not surprisingly) fall.
It is worth noting that the great story of the Middle World can already be used as a hardcover box set. Although it matches the four histories of myths and legends or the Middle Earth Box, The 2018 hardcover series will be available for just $50 ($100) On Amazon. Also, you can purchase each book separately in hardback or paperback.
The great story of the medieval version:

The history of the medieval ages was originally published from 1983 to 1996. Tolkien created a fantasy world, but established a backstory for Middle-earth at three different ages and over 6,500 years. You might argue that the author’s commitment to crafting the home of a pair of landmark fantasy novels will be home to a pair of landmark fantasy novels, which makes Middle-earth the most compelling character Tolkien has created. His mythological works form legendary figures commonly known as Tolkien.
When Tolkien died in 1973, the detailed background of the Middle World was still unpublished. Over the next few years, his son and literary executive Christopher Tolkien performed a daunting edit, expand and curate the legend’s arduous projects. The legendary figure will become a 12-volume series called “History of Middle-earth”.
although Silmarillion Now included in the modern version of the series – its Book 1 in The Latest Box – The Myth series was first published in 1977. If this is Tolkien's decision, Silmarillion will be published after the Hobbit. When his publisher rejected the manuscript, Tolkien spins the story of the story.
Over the years, he continued to revise and expand Silmarillion. Early drafts and branch stories will become key components of his legendary figures when rewriting the manuscript. Therefore, the historical part of the medieval period shows Tolkien’s development as a world builder. This is why Silmarillion is regarded as the first book in medieval history. To make the most of the vast Middle Earth character research, it is wise to read the interconnected myths in Silmarillion.
