How to make unlimited water sources in Minecraft

The first guaranteed way to get infinite water is to place two source blocks in a diagonal 2×2 grid. This way you only need four blocks, as the other two diagonals will be converted to source blocks. To add water, just make two buckets and collect them from nearby rivers, oceans or lakes.

The next, slightly more complex way, but only requires a source block, is to dig a T-shaped hole and place a block with a top higher than T than the ground, thus creating a transverse shape. Then, add the water source to the sides of the overhead block to allow it to flow downwards and fill the excavation shape.

Then, create seaweed using BoneAmeal on T and collect water from the source. The water will remain in the excavated area. You can then dig a 2×2 grid and place the water in a corner and collect the water from the T-shaped shape. Put the water diagonally opposite to the water in front and you get the same result with just one bucket of water.
