Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has reassured the shareholders after delaying to GTA 6.
Earlier today Rockstar announces significant delays to GTA 6expected to be the largest entertainment launch ever. It should be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S for Fall 2025, but will now be released on May 26, 2026. This is a transition from Take-Two’s fiscal year 2026 to its fiscal year 2027.
At the time of publication of this article, the value of early trading stocks fell by 7.98%. In a statement issued Company websiteTake-Two reiterated its expectation that the company will receive continuous growth and record levels of net bookings (revenue) in fiscal 2026 and 2027.
Zelnick himself commented that Take-Two Backs Rockstar decided to postpone GTA 6 and told shareholders that the company hopes to offer a “year-old” growth period.
“We support comprehensive Rockstar games and spend more time realizing their creative vision of Grand Theft Auto VI, which promises to be a breakthrough, sensational entertainment experience that exceeds audience expectations,” Zelnick said.
“While we take our title seriously and appreciate the huge and profound expectations of the Great Theft Automatic VI around the world, we remain firmly committed to a commitment to excellence. As we continue to release our amazing pipeline, we expect to grow for our business for years and enhance our value to shareholders.”
With GTA 6 and the multi-billion dollar guarantees that will be available for fiscal 2026, what else does Take Two have in the store? In addition to owning Rockstar, Take-Two has publishers 2K games and 2K Sports. The transmission's Border 4 will be released in September. Mafia: The old country will also expire this year. Also looking forward to another lucrative NBA game at 2K Sports (NBA 2K26). Further, the next creature Hawk is in development, as is the next game for Judah Ken Levine.
But in fact, 2K games around next year have nothing to make up for the GTA 6 behemoth, and Take-Two’s repository is lighter than expected. that is, GTA 6 fans are not usually surprised to see delaysthough they hope there is at least one new screenshot to soften the blow.
