Borderlands 4's new loot system is more diverse than ever

The Borderlands 4 will be equipped with eight weapons manufacturers, three of which (order, Ripper and Daedalus) are brand new. Each weapon manufacturer offers specialized weapons, often performing well in certain specific aspects, such as Jakobs weapons that provide additional heavy blow damage.

like PlayStation Blogunlike previous border games, weapons manufacturers will overlap in Borderlands 4 as part of the licensed parts system. This system gives you multiple specialties for a single weapon with parts from different manufacturers. The example shown is a Vladof gun with high ammunition capability using Torgue explosion bullets. It sounds like the weapon will drop in this way, as there is no mention of making or replacing parts on the gun.

In addition to the new gun, there are three new equipment types in the border area. Ordnance is a new shared slot for grenades and heavy weapons. Heavy weapons now run on the cooling system instead of using ammunition. Enhancements replace artifacts and now focus on providing enhancements to specific weapons manufacturers. Finally, there is the rep sleeve that can provide healing or gain on the cooler.

Gearbox also discusses how it will change the loot drop in Borderlands 4 to make the heist even more exciting. This mainly means reducing the frequency of legendary weapons falling and improving their personal statistics and unique abilities to make them feel even more exciting. In Borderlands 4's co-op, each player will have Insint Inst Intelligence, and to help you with the loot grind, you will be able to replay the missions and fight the boss for more loot drops.
