Bethesda Game Studios clarifies why its newly released Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is not considered a remake.
The studio behind the classic fantasy RPG series touches on why it's called “forgotten” remake instead of forgetting Today's post on X/Twitter. This is a long explanation of what Bethesda itself defines as a remake and why it chooses to go its own path. When the developer thanks someone who played forgetting or revisiting for the first time, it says directly “never want to reshape it.”
“We never wanted to remake it, but remake it – when you remember playing the game, the original game was there, but you can see it in today's technology.”
The studio's clarification is not only for fans (formal) See the first time remake of Forgotten, but also hands-on. Now that we've set out, we've put the visual changes together with some basic gameplay. Highlights include the ability to sprint and a new upgraded system that is described as the crossover found in Primitive Forgetts with the process the player sees in Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
Neither the new design of the sewer grate or the game-changing addition, there is no way to overcome adjustments Many players feel forgotten to remake more like a remake Instead of simple fresh paint. Video game remakes have indeed polluted major visual improvements over the past decade, but Bethesda is still reluctant to call its forgetful re-release a start in 2021, a full-blown remake.
“We looked at each part and upgraded it carefully,” Bethesda continued. “But most importantly, we never want to change the core. It's still the game of the previous era and should feel like an era.”
“We know that many long-time fans will be happy to revisit the land of Forgotten and Cyrodiil. However, there are a lot of people who have never played it. You have all the support you and our games over the years. Our hope for this remake is that no matter who you are, whoever you are, you will feel like you are coming to the Empire launcher for the first time.
