Solo Leveling is an action anime based on the Korean Manhwa series and the light novel series of the same name. It is set in the fictional version of our world, where monsters cross two dimensions invade the earth through mysterious portals connected to dangerous dungeons, and these creatures can only be stopped by people called hunters’ super powers. Hunters are divided into levels, ranging from low E-level fighters to elite S-level combatants with terrifying abilities. The gain here is that the class cannot be improved, so if someone wants to wake up the E-level, they will be trapped in that ranking for the rest of their lives.
Unfortunately for the protagonist Sung Jinwoo, he is an E-class, winning the despicable title of “The Weakest Hunter”. However, after the almost unavoidable S-Rank encounter, Jinwoo unlocks a new ability that allows him to gradually upgrade and gain more power, something other hunters can't do.

If you want to check out some original material, you can pick up the collection of Webtoon Manhwa (Korean Comics) illustrated by Jang Sung-Rak, as well as the original light novel written by Chugong.
The format is a little weird due to the origin of its network volume – some panels are cut to fit into traditional print formats – the paperback is still doing a good job of capturing the series’ “luxury illustrations” in physical form. Manwha adapted to the end of 2021 and has been slowly positioned and collected into English volumes. So far, ten volumes in English have been released and sold on Amazon, while 11 and 12 volumes are available for pre-order on April 23 and May 27 release dates, respectively.

If you prefer the format of prose, you can also use the original light novel. Unlike Manhwa, who is still in English, the complete Eight Volume Light Novel series is now available in English.
