FromSoftware is rolling out a new patch Eldon Ring Night Walkintroducing a host of balance tweaks, bug fixes, and improvements ahead of time Forgotten Valley DLC.
Forgotten Valley is the first content-rich, officially named DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign. It launches tomorrow (December 4) and includes new bosses, a new moving Earth, and a new playable Nightcrawler.
Today's patch adds support for the DLC, but also adds a number of new features and important balance changes for all players. this Patch Notesavailable on all versions: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
“Elden Ring Nightreign” update 1.03 patch notes:
new features
- Added support for Forsaken Valley.
- If you own the DLC The Forsaken Hollows, it will appear in the lower right corner of the title screen.
- Added display of currently equipped relics in the character select menu.
- You can check the effect of your equipped relic by switching the display.
- Added the ability to set a name when registering a relic preset in the Relic Ritual menu.
- The setting name can be changed in the “All Presets” section.
- The preset order for each character can now be changed in the All Presets section of the Relic Ritual menu.
- In the Relic Ritual menu, you can change the order preset in the All Relics section (but not the order of the characters themselves).
- Added Deep Landscape Flat Stone to the Collector's Signature Shop.
- It is now possible to toggle the map's layer display in the Results menu.
- Relics equipped by each player can now be displayed in the results menu.
- Artifacts can only be displayed in sessions played in version 1.02 or higher.
- Players with personal goals that require defeating a specific objective when replaying Memorial can now start an adventure with players whose personal goals do not require defeating a specific goal.
- Personal objectives that do not require destroying the target will only appear to one player per expedition.
- Flask counts will now be highlighted when:
- When the flask count reaches maximum capacity,
- When an effect triggered by an enemy affecting the flask is triggered.
- The vertical position of the compass rune icon will now be displayed if the rune dropped on death is significantly higher or lower than the player character.
- You can now highlight specific events occurring on a map layer that is at a different level than the character's location in the map menu.
- Adjusted the hibernation power selection screen so that the HP meter and other UI elements remain visible when the screen is displayed.
- Adjusted the weapon lineup in Limveld's shop.
- Added Cupping Jar to the shop inventory within Soul Asylum.
- Target lock on enemies behind you is no longer released when the Tombstone summoned by the Predator Ultimate Art appears.
Balance adjustment
Generally speaking, the triggering conditions for relic effects, equipment passive effects, and special effects triggered by low blood volume have been relaxed.
Changes to Passive and Special Effects
- New passive effects added:
- Increase melee attack power
- Improved dash attack
- Improved rolling attack
- Added the passive effect of increasing attack power when using both hands.
- Improved the effect of passive effect attack power increase when using two weapons.
- The effect of chain attack finishing moves with passive effects has been enhanced.
- The charge attack effect of the passive effect has been enhanced.
- The effect of the passive effect “Jump Attack” has been enhanced.
- Added passive effect to improve the effectiveness of ward counters.
- Added passive effect to increase skill attack power.
- Added passive effect of increasing physical attack power.
- Relaxed the trigger conditions and reduced the effect of passive effect strengthening damage being ineffective when the health is low.
- The triggering conditions of the Talisman Green Feather Branch Sword have been expanded and its effect has been reduced.
Changes to relic effects
- Increases the effect of increasing physical attack power.
- Increases the effectiveness of initial standard attacks.
- Added an effect to improve critical hits.
- Added improved ward counter effects.
- Added effect to improve XXX damage (excluding bow weapon types).
- When equipped with 3+ XX, the attack power boosting effect is increased (excluding bow weapon types).
- The trigger conditions have been expanded and the effect of enhanced damage negation when low health has been reduced.
Other changes
- Reduced FP cost and increased the power of the golden spell Wrath.
Bug fixes and improvements
- Fixed a bug in the Divination Invasion event where the character would not properly teleport to the combat area with Divination if the player performed a critical hit while teleporting was triggered.
- Mitigated an issue where a Grace site or church would not activate and in some cases be unable to upgrade and add charges to a flask.
- Fixed a bug where Nighttide's range would be different from other players' range when rejoining a session under certain circumstances.
- Fixed a bug where hammer weapons with the Prayer Strike skill would not appear.
- Fixed a bug where effects that heal or buff allies would not apply to characters dodging or performing ultimate arts.
- Fixed an issue where the weakness created by Iron Eye's skill mark would appear on some players but not others under certain circumstances.
- Fixed a bug where the Raider's Counter skill was canceled and the character would flinch when attacked by some enemies that did not deal damage while the skill was active.
- Fixed a bug where the Hermit's Elemental Defense passive skill would not show affinity residue when hit by certain enemies.
- Fixed a bug where stagger damage was not being applied when using the Executor to parry certain enemy attacks.
- Fixed a bug where the roll range for dodging certain enemies' dark attacks was different than expected.
- Fixed a bug in Abyssal Ruins where the Green Crystal Tears effect you had at the start of the expedition did not appear.
- Fixed a bug in the Expedition menu where the meter indicating late night levels was not displayed when performing Reduce Depth, causing subsequent meters to not reflect rate correctly.
- Fixed a bug in the Relic Ritual menu where icons indicating locations in other containers were not displayed correctly.
- Fixed a bug in the dormant energy selection screen where the UI indicating rarity was not shown on gear and item icons.
- Fixed an issue where sorting by FP cost in the Sparring Equipment Menu and Sparring Venue Visual Codex menu would not work properly when displaying spell and spell lists.
- Fixed a bug in the Results menu and Victor's Record menu that caused the attributes added by relics to each character's weapon during the Expedition to not be reflected correctly.
- Fixed a bug in the results menu where effects held by other players exceeding a certain number would not be recorded.
- Fixed an issue where if a session was dismissed immediately after the player left, the message on the title screen confirming returning to the session would continue to appear even after selecting OK.
- Fixed some graphics rendering issues.
- Fixed an issue where some sound effects could not play properly.
- Fixed some text.
- Made several other performance improvements and bug fixes.
Nightreign’s ultra-hard difficulty mode Deep of Night, Released in Septemberafter being discovered By data miner back in August. That plus Two player mode is all we've had for a while since Nightreign launched, which is why players Becoming restless due to lack of news or updates.
