Battlefield 6 developer outlines upcoming audio fixes and multiplayer mode tweaks ahead of 1.1.3.0 update

Captures and vehicle availability in Breakout will also be updated next week when 1.1.3.0 is released, with BF Studios explaining that, for example, Cairo Siege will feature additional attack tanks for Zones 1 and 3, as well as redesigned capture areas for Objective B. Rush fans will notice that the M-COM locations of Manhattan Bridge and Liberation Peak have been adjusted to further refine the attacker's gameplay.

“These updates are designed to reduce bottlenecks, remove points of frustration, and create more consistent and engaging combat around objectives,” BF Studios said.

“In addition to these highlights, we’ve made a series of quality-of-life improvements to UI clarity, minimap behavior, controller aiming responsiveness, and more, which you’ll see detailed in the full description.”

Another topic that has plagued the Battlefield 6 fanbase since launch involves potential hot registration and netcode issues. This is an area that BF Studios has targeted before, and update 1.1.3.0 hopes to iron out more scratches related to inconsistencies in multiplayer and REDSEC gameplay. New changes also include that “Battlefield 6” will be more comfortable due to changes in close-range soldier visibility, lighting, prone animations, etc.

While in-game players may notice “extensive” changes to weapon handling, attachments, and recoil modes, REDSEC fans can expect changes to armor and tank availability. Armor changes to the battle royale experience will be detailed in its dedicated post in the near future, and tank changes are likely to come as fans get update 1.1.3.0.

BF Studios added: “We are actively exploring a number of areas aimed at improving clarity, responsiveness and fairness in combat. This includes further research into edge cases related to hit registration, investigating rare out-of-sync scenarios with destructible objects, and gathering deeper data on situations where players feel like they are being knocked out after reaching cover. These areas remain key priorities and the results of our ongoing investigations will inform our update schedule for the new year.”

The latest communication from the Battlefield team did not provide complete patch notes for Update 1.1.3.0 of Battlefield 6. Players are told to expect a more detailed list of all new weapons, maps, and mode changes “in the coming days.”

The third and final chapter of Battlefield 6 Season 1 will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X on December 9 as Winter Assault. S. While the first two chapters introduce additional weapons, modes, and two maps – Blackwell Plains and Eastwood – next week's content update focuses on changes to the Ice Lock event.
