GTA 6 development footage leaked online before it was removed from the internet – but it didn't reveal much, and we've even seen parts of it before in official screenshots

Grand Theft Auto 6 Footage of the ongoing development surfaced online over the weekend and was then removed from the internet. While Rockstar's highly anticipated sequel has been subject to serious and damaging leaks in the past, this latest leak is anything but.
An eagle-eyed leaker discovered an animation clip uploaded to Vimeo by a developer who has worked on several Rockstar games. Three of them clearly show development footage for GTA 6 (and they are indeed labeled as such).
As you'd expect, the video was pulled from Vimeo, but the internet took notice, so a clip from GTA 6 is circulating. There are three separate clips, each brief and showing animations on what looks like a test map.
The first shows a male character taking a bike out and inserting it into a rental bike rack. We see the word “LomBike” on the bike's frame, which may be a parody of the real-life LimeBike rental bikes. There are no big surprises in GTA 6! We even saw this bike rental system in official GTA 6 screenshots released by Rockstar earlier this year.
Two other, equally brief clips, show a female character, presumably Lucia, getting out of the back of a pickup truck at various stages. Again, nothing to write home about.
In fact, these very short animation clips Do There are hints at what we can expect from GTA 6 when it finally releases, but they don't tell us anything we don't already know. Of course, you can rent bikes in GTA 6; it's in the screenshot above. Of course, you can also jump out of the pickup truck. This is GTA 6 we're talking about!
Let's remember that when you actually play GTA 6, you'll see the final version of these animations – as you'd expect from Rockstar, they're rich in detail and of high quality.
This real leak comes hot on the heels of AI-generated GTA 6 gameplay leaked Its creators claim it's part of a social experiment. Rockstar released GTA 6 Trailer 3 in place of GTA 6 Trailer 3, and fans are definitely on edge. In the meantime, we've got more content on GTA 6, including How the internet reacts to GTA 6 delaysand It's no surprise why it was delayed in the first place.
