Middle-earth 6-movie 4K Blu-ray collection on sale for $100 on Cyber Monday

Fans of Peter Jackson's adaptations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit can save big on a 30-disc box set that includes both trilogies on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray and digital. this Collection of six movies about Middle-earth Launched in March for $210, but only $100 during sale Amazon Cyber Monday Sale. Amazon also has it The Lord of the Rings Trilogy on 4K Blu-ray $49.49 (originally $90).
Both sets include the theatrical cut and extended cut on 4K Blu-ray, but The Middle-earth Collection also comes with a digital version and a 1080p Blu-ray, which means you'll get special features not found in the Lord of the Rings trilogy set.

The transition to 4K Ultra HD resolution for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is nothing short of miraculous. Middle-earth's vast fields, rolling hills and picturesque vistas come to life with the help of HDR and modern surround sound technology. All three movies support Dolby Vision and HDR10, as well as Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound.
If you haven’t seen the extended cut, you’re in for a treat. The extended version of the trilogy is a full two hours longer than the theatrical version, which is impressive considering the trilogy already ran over nine hours in theaters. The extended cut of “Lord of the Rings” was extended by 30 minutes, “The Two Towers” by 44 minutes, and “The Return of the King” by 51 minutes. The extended version of “The Return of the King” is one of the rare films to exceed four hours.
This is a 9-disc set, as the extended cuts of each film are spread over two discs, while the theatrical cuts are on one disc each. Here are the total running times of the theatrical and extended versions of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (excluding credits):

At a price of $100, Collection of six movies about Middle-earth The current price is the same as the total price of the 4K Blu-ray version Lord of the Rings Trilogy ($49.49) and The Hobbit Trilogy ($50).
If you're interested in both trilogies, you'll want to pick up the Middle-earth 6 Movie Collection, as it includes everything from these series as well as 1080p Blu-ray and Movies Anywhere digital releases. Peter Jackson's audio commentary for all six extended cuts is exclusive to the standard Blu-ray and Digital editions of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, so you'll miss out on those trilogy sets that are only available in 4K.
All told, the Middle-earth 6-movie collection contains 15 4K Blu-ray discs, 15 1080p Blu-ray discs, and codes to download/stream both trilogies. All three formats include theatrical and extended cuts.
The Hobbit Trilogy in 4K supports the same visual and audio enhancements as The Lord of the Rings: Dolby Vision/HDR10 and Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Surround. The extended cut adds about an hour to the total running time.
