Here's our first look at Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's Techmarine level — including a PNG filename Easter egg

We finally got our first look at Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's new class, the Techmarine, along with images of its Omnissian Axe.
Publisher Focus Entertainment released a screenshot of the Omnissian Ax (below), as well as an image showing the Techmarine model from multiple angles.
Techmarine is coming to Saber Interactive's explosive third-person action game as part of Patch 12 early next year. Focus confirmed in a statement that its Omnissian Ax is a new melee weapon – a halberd-style weapon with its own unique set of animations, finishers and progression. blog post.
Techmarines, meanwhile, have servogun abilities. Activating it will enable the gun to automatically engage enemies. The new class also has the passive ability to restore the Tarantula Sentry Gun, which can be spawned in existing PvE levels. This all sounds powerful.
As is tradition with Space Marine 2, Focus has popped up a fun little Easter egg for Techmarine and its Omnissian Ax in the PNG file names. The Omnissian Ax PNG is called “Toothpick”, while the Techmarine PNG is called “01100110_01101001_01101110_01100101_00100000_01110011_01101000_01111001_01110100”.
Fans were quick to start exercising This binary sequence can actually be translated into a phrase: “fine shyt”.

This might be a little confusing if you're not a fan of Warhammer 40,000, but it will make most fans of the horror-dark setting giggle. For the uninitiated, Techmarines are a class of Space Marine Engineer types who are huge fans of the Adeptus Mechanicus and their Chapters. They are passionate about technology and specialize in soothing the machine spirits of wounded war engines such as tanks and dreadnoughts. All the small parts present on the Techmarine's back are its servo arms, mechanical dendrites, and shoulder-mounted forged bolter.
Focus has not revealed which Traitor Legion the Chaos Techmarine will be associated with in PvP. More on that soon.
August, Focus reveals plans for Star Marine 2 patch all the way to 15thtaking fans to the end of the second quarter of next year (June 2026). Techmarine is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2026, the new Battle Barge expansion will be released during the same period, and the new siege map is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2026.
Of course, Saber Interactive is also developing Starfighter 3, although it insists Ongoing support for Starfighter 2 and its sequel “will definitely not compete for resources.”
