I got some playable stuff from the Phantom Fire and Mega Evolution booster packs (still looking for more Lily's Resolve), but I didn't get any Phantom Fire “chase” cards like any of the rare cards listed above List of Phantom Flame's most expensive cards.

My favorite random pull is definitely the rare Team Rocket's Houndoom from the Destined Rival illustration, which is one of my favorite Pokémon of all time. Fire and Dark type Pokémon are my favorites so I'm excited about Charizard X and Houndoom cards as well as Charizard themed TCG accessories, what can I say.

The play mat included in the set has nice stitching around the edges, which many other official game mats lack, so I think it will last a long time, and the Mega Charizard X coins are nice.

This should go without saying, but I don't think this series is worth it unless your goal is use Exclusive TCG accessories included.

I wish there was some variety between the game mats, deck boxes, and card sleeves, but at least the artwork they chose for this set is terrible.

Shining with an array of rainbow colors, this coin is a neat Easter egg balanced on top of my Charizard statue from First 4 Figures.

While this is definitely nothing new for the Pokémon TCG series, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed with the series of outdated booster packs. I can loved Check out more Phantom Fire and even mega evolutions, booster packs.

But maybe I'm just tired of it because one The Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection is the only Phantasmal Flames product that my partner and I can purchase between the two of us. Lucky for me, I also received a press copy of this particular collection so I don't have to share! For reference, we successfully purchased one on the Pokémon Center website, but failed elsewhere.

But that's a completely different conversation. Even though it's priced at $119.99, as a big fan of Charizard and TCG, I'm very pleased with the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection.
