Battlefield 6 update quickly fixes defibrillator after support players report strict resurrection requirements

EA and Battlefield Studios are delivering a slew of new tweaks via a small update that's rolling out to players on PC and consoles now. Details about the hotfix have been posted at Posts on X/Twitterhighlighting fixes for those pesky defibrillators, as well as tweaks to the new limited-time destruction game mode and other challenge changes.
After the release of the California Resistance update for Battlefield 6 yesterday, players took to social media to complain about unstable defibrillators. An early version of the game let players use supported gadgets to swipe and dive into last-second saves, bringing about changes Update 1.1.2.0 Instead, players are required to use the tool slowly and precisely if they want to resurrect their friends. This only leads to confusion, as the harsh requirements for teammates are dismissed as a new bug or a strange nerf without any explanation.

At the same time, the AFK kick timer for Sabotage game mode has been increased from 60 seconds to 180 seconds. Bot backfill for this mode has also been temporarily disabled and will be reintroduced in the future.
Finally, there are some challenges that also benefit from Adjust frequently BF Studios is constantly tweaking its progression system. Reconnaissance Expert 3: Get a headshot kill from 200m away using a Scout in a match.

Outlaws 2: Kill with a headshot within 200m using a sniper rifle
• Challenge and description updated to: Kill with a headshot from 125m away using a sniper rifle
Engineer 3: Use a lock-on weapon to cause damage to enemy vehicles designated by the laser.

Rapid Fire 2: Kill enemies within 50m using an assault rifle
• Challenge and description updated to: Kill an enemy from 40m away with an assault rifle
Rapid Fire 3: When fired from the waist with an assault rifle, damage can be caused within a 15m range.
• Challenge and description updated to: Deal damage with an assault rifle in ADS.
Bulletstorm 1: Suppress the enemy with a light machine gun

Battlefield 6 launches for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | Released on October 10th, it is currently in its first post-launch season. Season 1 has seen the launch of two new maps so far, the latest being Eastwood, which arrived yesterday as part of California Resistance's mid-season update. Another content update called “Winter Offensive” will be released on December 9th.
Since launch, BF Studios has been releasing updates throughout the month aimed at addressing fan feedback. Highlights include A new (expensive) skin packone Fix for the infamous Sledgehammer drone bug,even Toned down color of some controversial infantry skins. Plans for more changes were outlined in last week's community update.
