Legacy of Kain: The Soul Reaver Collection is down to its best price yet

The Deluxe Edition comes packaged in an oversized box with lots of extras that will appeal to long-time fans of the series. The highlight is the beautiful steel book box, but you also get a paperback art book and the official soundtrack on CD. In addition to the steel copy, you still get the standard version of the case.

The $20 (regularly $30) standard edition comes with the remastered game on disc or cartridge and a plain plastic case.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was originally released on PS1 in 1999, with a sequel launching in 2001 early in the PS2's life cycle. “Soul Reaver” is set in the land of Nosgoth and tells the story of the vampire-turned-ghost Raziel seeking revenge against his creator (also the protagonist of the first “Legacy of Kain” game “Blood Omen” – the vampire Lord Kain).

The remaster includes a toggle between original or updated visuals, as well as some tweaks to gameplay. However, the core gameplay, story, and voice acting remain untouched. In addition to the games, the series also includes archival behind-the-scenes content and other bonus material.

“Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered” will be available digitally for the first time in December 2024. After delays, Aspyr released physical versions of the Standard and Deluxe editions on July 11, 2025.
