For the better part of three decades, Pokémon creatures have been summoned by human trainers to fight against each other under their command. But in 2026, Pokémon will finally have their own paradise in this world. Pokemon Togepia.
This heartwarming upcoming game isn't about Pokémon fighting each other. Instead, players can be offered the chance to live side by side in an environment specifically tailored to their individual needs. There is no need to fight for anything, not even for humans to decide their own destiny. Players may guide the Pokémon's actions, but Pokopia will be built one brick at a time by Ditto.
When will Pokémon Pokopia be released?
“Pokémon Pokopia” will be released on March 5, 2026. when The match has been announced In September 2025, Pokemon Pokopia only has a vague 2026 release window. In November, Nintendo officially announced that the game would be released in just four months later, in early March 2026.

While Pokopia doesn't appear to be too visually taxing on either Switch, it will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. Only players with the original Switch must upgrade before entering Pokopia.

Ditto is the protagonist of Pokemon Pokopia, but the trailer confirms that other classic Pokemon (including Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander) will be drawn to Pokopia as Ditto's choice.
There doesn't appear to be any outside threat in this game. As long as the Pokémon feel cared for, it looks like they'll be happy in their new home. As for Ditto, it's unclear whether its facial appearance can be customized based on gender. But it seems certain there will be some customization options.
Pokemon Pokopia Gameplay
The gameplay looks like a mix of Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Dragon Quest Builders. In the trailer, Dito shows off the ability to imitate other Pokémon, making grass grow or retrieving raw materials to craft items and homes. Ditto can build homes for Pokémon, change the landscape, and even divert water to the area to create waterfalls and ponds.
Ditto the ability to grow crops and cook food for Pokémon, and the trailer suggests other player characters will also be able to visit the homes you build for yourself in the game.

Pokemon Pokopia is developed by Omega Force, the studio behind the Dynasty Warrior series. Persona 5 Strikersand Fire Emblem Warriors. Omega Force's collaboration with Nintendo on “The Legend of Zelda” spin-offs has also been a huge success Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Captivity.
