Fortnite: Battle Royale will return to a more typical experience after the current Simpsons mini-season ends at the end of November, according to a blog posted on Fortnite Battle Royale. Fortnite Status Twitter Accountthe game will return to 100-player rounds, and the island will be more spacious.
Fortnite's Simpsons-themed mini-season launched in early November, bringing some dramatic changes of pace to the battle royale game, thanks in large part to the size of the map. this new springfield island Covering approximately half the land area of the Chapter 6 island, the mode temporarily supports 80 players instead of 100 players. This makes the island incredibly densely populated with players, and it's difficult to land on any given location at the start of a match without running into an opponent trying to grab the same treasure chest you want.
The blog said the fundamental shift in competition flow was an experiment.
“There are some differences here: BR this season is 80 players instead of 100 players on a more compact map. The vibe so far? Faster rotations, more meaningful combat, and less time running around in the open field. It's an experiment – we plan to get back to 100 players next season – but we want to see what happens when we get our act together.”
This isn't the only big news we've got from this blog. Only this Saturday and SundayEpic is adding two Simpsons-themed weapons — the deodorant applicator and Bart’s slingshot — Battle Royale Loot Pool. This is another unusual thing Epic is trying this mini-season, with the company debuting these weapons in Delulu mode last weekend.
The Simpsons season in Fortnite will last until November 29, when Chapter 7 will begin.
