Rockstar has updated the main GTA 6 website with a new release date, and – sorry PC gamers – the game is still down, only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S

Rockstar has updated GTA 6's main website to reflect the game's recent delays and is sticking to a console-only release for now.
Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed from May 2026 to November 2026, with Rockstar saying the extra half-year “will allow us to complete the game with the level of polish you expect and deserve.”
Some are wondering whether this latest delay – the second since its official launch in December 2023 – will cause Rockstar Games to revise its release plans, which currently only include the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. However, as found @videotechuk_Now Rockstar has updated the official GTA 6 website, mentioning a release date of November 19th, and listing consoles as the only release platform.
What does this mean for PC gamers? They're already facing the prospect of having to wait even longer for GTA 6 – back when GTA 6 was scheduled to release this fall, some thought the game would launch on PC in 2026. Now that seems impossible, and some PC gamers are worried they won't be able to play the game until 2028. Late 2027 feels like a safe bet, but this is Rockstar. It's hard to predict what the company will do.
In an interview with IGN last night, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick says he's 'very confident' this is GTA 6's final delay. “We want to give Rockstar the appropriate time to polish this game and make sure it can be the best it can be,” he said.
Previously, “GTA 6” was announced to be released in the fall of 2025, and Zelnick was confident about it at the time. The game was later delayed to May 2026, with Take-Two and Rockstar also citing the need for polish. Zelnick sounded confident at the time, too.
As for the launch platform, Zelnick was asked last year if the lack of a PC version of GTA 6 was a done deal.. Here's Zelnick's full response:
Well, as far as I know, the lack of announcements is not a set in stone thing because I think the only thing that happens after a lack of announcements is announcements, or a continued lack of announcements, I guess that could happen as well. In my opinion, neither is set in stone.
But Rockstar's approach to the platform is something we've seen before, and they will make more announcements in due course. I do believe that the right strategy for our business is to focus on where the consumer is, and historically what the company has done is meet consumer demand over time, anywhere, on any platform that makes sense.
Zelnick danced around the inevitable PC version of GTA 6, but he did point to Rockstar's release strategy for previous games. Fans of Rockstar games Noting the studio's historical reluctance to release other past games on PC simultaneously with consoles, as well as its strained relationship with the modding community over the years. Still, some hoped that a massive game like GTA 6 would be a turning point in the studio's attitude toward PC gaming, but those hopes were dashed.
Big Rockstar games tend to eventually come to PC, but the question is how long PC gamers have to wait for the biggest entertainment launch ever.
