New Resident Evil movie photos show Raccoon City before everything goes completely to hell

Filming on the new live-action Resident Evil movie has begun, and Raccoon City is once again the focus of the Umbrella Corporation and its bioweapons research. New images from the set of the Zach Craig-directed film have leaked online, showing how part of Prague was transformed into the iconic Resident Evil filming location. One of the big changes to the game appears to be seasonal, as the live sets get a winter makeover.

One thing you can't see in the image is the infected people, but it does look like there were some explosions and street fighting taking place on the streets of Prague, as House of Evil reports that several action scenes have been filmed so far. Craig, who is critically acclaimed for his work on Savages and Arms, talked about Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 as the main influences on the adaptation, but he offered his own take on it.
“I don't think I had any more freedom with this (movie) than the game series. I think I colored within the lines,” Craig said earlier this year.
The film's cast so far includes “True Detective: In the Land of Darkness” actress Kali Reis; 'Euphoria' (and 'Arms') Star Austin Abramsand Zach Cherry in Apple TV+’s Severance is also reportedly attached to the film. Resident Evil is scheduled to be released on September 18, 2026, and in the video game department, Resident Evil Requiem It will launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 on February 27, 2026.
Video game and movie fans can also look forward to next year’s “Mortal Kombat 2,” Since the release date is slightly advanced Until May 8, 2026. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters on October 24. But at the last minute it was delayed for seven months.
