Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are on sale at a discounted price. The final edition is available digitally for a discounted price of $39.89 (originally $60) and is available at Amazon and Walmart. Both retailers are also offering similar price cuts on digital versions of the product. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 The price is reduced to $41.88 (originally $60). You can combine the sequel with expansion pass $20.88 at Walmart (originally $30). The Expansion Pass includes the exciting story expansion Torna – The Land of Gold.
When you purchase a digital Nintendo Switch game from major retailers like Amazon and Walmart, you'll receive a download code that can be redeemed on the Nintendo eShop. Both games were first discounted at these prices in mid-October and will be back in stock on November 5th. Amazon previously offered the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion pass at the same price as Walmart, but it has since sold out. Neither of these games get discounts very often, and these are two of the best RPG games you can play on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

More than five years after its release, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition remains one of the best role-playing games on the Nintendo Switch. It's even more impressive when you consider the fact that the Definitive Edition is the third version of Monolith Soft's massive adventure. Xenoblade Chronicles was originally released on the Wii in 2010 and later ported to the New Nintendo 3DS in 2015.
Xenoblade Chronicles features a rewarding real-time action combat system with multiple difficulty settings. The final version of “Future Internet” epilogue adds 10-20 hours of additional story content in addition to more than 50 hours of main campaign.
In addition to great gameplay and a beautiful world to explore, Xenoblade Chronicles also boasts a strong cast led by protagonist Shulk and a great script. From a story perspective, the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy is one of the best modern series in the genre.

“Xenoblade Chronicles 2” was launched in 2017 and is the first large-scale role-playing game exclusively on Nintendo Switch. While it's not as highly regarded as the original, it's still one of the best RPGs on Switch (and Switch 2). Although technically you won't need To play the first Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game, it is highly recommended that you play each game in chronological order to experience the full extent of the trilogy's overarching story.

A standalone expansion pack called Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Realm was released in 2018. Torna takes place approximately 500 years after the base game and features a cast of new characters. The approximately 20-hour campaign can be purchased separately for $40, but if you own the base game you can save money by purchasing the expansion pass.
The expansion pass is only $20.88 at Walmart (roughly half the price of Tona itself) and includes story expansions, bonus missions, a challenge battle mode, multiple rare blades for Shulk and Fiora, and more.
The discount on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 isn't huge, but you can save about $5 on your purchase. Digital bundle containing base game and expansion pass on Amazon.

No matter the region, getting a physical copy of the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy usually means buying it from a third-party reseller. An enhanced version of the Wii U spin-off game “Xenoblade Chronicles X” released on Nintendo Switch in March. Xenoblade Chronicles X is more action-oriented than the main trilogy and can be fully enjoyed without any prior knowledge of the series.
notes: If you purchase the international version of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, it will only be compatible with the European eShop's Expansion Pass. This does not apply to the standalone version of Torna – Kingdom of Gold, as it is considered a separate game. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 also has an expansion pass that must match the region where your physical or digital copy is.
