Tomb Raider fans can save big on these massive collections of classic comics

Tomb Raider fans can enjoy a great discount on Dark Horse's recently published collection of classic comics. Tomb Raider Masterpiece Collection Volume 1 $81.88 at Amazon (originally $100). This 888-page hardcover collection of 33 comics was originally printed by Top Cow Productions from 1999 to 2003.
There's never been a better time to start reading comics about Lara Croft's classic adventures. Tomb Raider Collection Volume 2 It will launch on November 25th. In addition to collecting the rest of the original's content, Volume 2 also includes Top Cow's Tomb Raider: Journey miniseries and several one-offs. Fans of the Crystal Dynamics reboot trilogy also have something to look forward to next year. Tomb Raider Mega Collection Volume 3 Collects all of Dark Horse's tie-in comics in one nearly 1,200 page book.

Top Cow's Tomb Raider comic was out of print for a long time before the first volume hit stores in July.
There are 33 issues in the first volume, each issue has about 25 pages. Here's what's included:

In case you were wondering, issue 25 saw Lara Croft team up with another top comics comic of the time, Witchblade. Dark Horse seems unable to secure licensing rights from Image Comics, the owner of the Witchblade IP.

Dark Horse Tomb Raider Collection Volume 2 concludes Lara Croft's original comic series with issues 35-50 and two prequel comics.
After reading Tomb Raider: The Series, you can dive into the Tomb Raider: Journey mini-series. Colossal Collection Volume 2 contains all 12 issues of Journeys published by Top Cow from 2001 to 2003.
Although the second volume of The Tome Collection has less content in the mainline series, it's actually a thicker book thanks to the Journey miniseries and five one-shots. Some of these one-offs are essentially two issues rolled into one; The Greatest Treasure in the World (2005) and The Arabian Nights (2004) each have 48 pages.

Dingniu's Tomb Raider comic was released during the series' heyday, so it was extremely popular at the time. The comic is set in the same continuity as the game developed by Core Design, with some adjustments to Lara Croft's story. A talented cast of artists and writers worked on the series, including Dan Jurgens, Adam Hughes, Michael Turner, Andy Parker, Mark Silvestri, David Fincher and more.

The third volume will be the largest Tomb Raider series to date. The book has a total of 1,144 pages, 200 pages more than the second volume. It is Dark Horse's Tomb Raider comic, which the publisher originally printed from 2013 to 2018 as a tie-in story to the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy. Dark Horse's comics are currently out of print, but Colossal Collection volume 3 will be back in full next April.

Tomb Raider: The Beginning is a 52-page prequel comic to the 2013 Crystal Dynamics game. The subsequent 18-issue Tomb Raider storyline bridged the gap between the first game and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Tomb Raider Vol. 2 is a 12-issue storyline that begins with an investigation into a cult obsessed with immortality. Two four-issue miniseries followed, Survivor's Crusade and Inferno. These three storylines take place between Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Volume 3 also comes with a five-issue package for the spin-off games Lara Croft and the Keeper of Light and Temple of Osiris.
The writers of the Dark Horse Survivor trilogy comics include Crystal Dynamics game lead writer Rhianna Pratchett, as well as Mariko Tamaki and Gail Simone.

Fans of the Crystal Dynamics trilogy should also check out The official tie-in novel for Shadow of the Tomb Raider Known as the “Path of Apocalypse.” This critically acclaimed 320-page novel was published by Titan Books in 2018 and is available in paperback for $15.
