Talisman: The Miraculous Quest board game gets a huge price cut on Amazon

Amulet: Magic Quest Game 5th Edition is Big discounts on Amazon. The classic fantasy dungeon crawler launched last year for $60, and an updated version is now available for just $38. The 37% price cut is the best yet, but like many Amazon deals, there's no way of knowing when prices will go back up. Talisman is still regularly sold at full price, so you shouldn't wait too long if you want to start your magical quest.

You can also find a cooperative Alliance Expansion Pack $25.75 and brand new Nemesis Expansion Pack $35.

Designed by Avalon Hill, maker of popular board games, Amulets 5th Edition Many of the cards, cards, and tokens in the game feature new art, all 12 unpainted miniatures have been redesigned, and the rules have been redesigned to simplify setting up and learning the game. The box contains everything you need to play the game, including all cards, tokens, coins and player figures, as well as three six-sided dice and the rulebook. You can also scan the QR code to access a digital version of the rulebook.

The base game supports 2 to 6 players and is recommended for players ages 12 and up. Each run typically takes 60-90 minutes, and the game's dynamic design makes it highly replayable.

To date, fifth edition has received two expansions. Alliance: Call of Destiny Expansion Pack Added co-op mode for two to six players. There are five trials to master, each with its own mystery character as a reward—unless you open the envelope before completing the challenge. The expansion also includes 50 new illustrated cards. The second extension has just launched and is available on Amazon for $35. Nemesis: Call to the Hunt Expansion Pack Featuring a new mode, one player can play against two to five friends. Call of the Hunt features three trials, five mystery characters, and a double-sided game board that allows you to play in two different areas. Each round of Nemesis mode takes about an hour.

If you've never played Talisman before, it's an adventure board game with light RPG mechanics in which up to six players compete to earn a crown of command, slay an elder dragon, and become the new ruler of the land. Each player can choose from 12 characters to play, including a thief, an elf, a wizard, and a prophetess. The original game was released in 1983; the 4th edition was released in 2008 and has been out of print for many years, so the launch of the 5th edition last June was a big deal.

Harry Potter and Kingdom Hearts Amulet

In the years leading up to the release of the fifth edition, Talisman became one of many classic board games to receive new versions themed after popular entertainment and gaming series. Talisman's Kingdom Hearts crossover launched in 2019, and Harry Potter joined Quest in 2021. Unfortunately, both versions are out of print, so you can only buy them from third-party resellers.
