Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein will get two premium companion books

Guillermo del Toro is the undisputed master of storytelling, and his film adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic story “Victor Frankenstein” is finally streaming on Netflix and enjoying a limited run in U.S. theaters. Fans of the film will want to check out two upcoming books that offer a deeper look into the creation of the film. The first one, Frankenstein: Written and Directed by Guillermo del Toroin theaters on October 28, and a behind-the-scenes look at the film. Next will be Frankenstein: The Complete Screenplay Released on November 25, this is a hardcover edition of the film's complete script, including a selection of bonus material.

“Frankenstein: Written and Directed by Guillermo del Toro” details the making of the film, starting with a series of concept art in pre-production and ending with a full production of the film complete with a variety of period-specific props. Del Toro-directed films are known for their authenticity and authenticity, and this 334-page hardcover book explores the filmmaker's creative process through Frankenstein's monster's development sketches, set photos, exclusive storyboards, and costumes.

Frankenstein: The Complete Script is a 240-page paperback that includes the film's complete script as well as a collection of concept art, film stills, and behind-the-scenes photography. Mary Shelley's original novel Frankenstein: Or the Modern Prometheus was first published in 1818, but even two centuries later it remains a popular book. The Frankenstein – Netflix tie-in is a new paperback edition of Shelley's novel, featuring new cover art from the del Toro film. It launches on October 28 for $18 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
If you prefer a hardcover version, there are several options. The most exciting thing is the new product Frankenstein: Mina Lima Editionwill also launch on October 28th. Priced at $45, this premium hardcover book features new cover art and interior illustrations, as well as seven interactive elements including a foldout map, journal entries, and more. Available for reservation on Amazon. Mina Lima has also produced premium interactive hardcover editions of several other classics, including some that del Toro fans will enjoy, such as Pinocchio.
Frankenstein is currently available in three other hardcover editions, including a deluxe illustrated classic edition for $23.36 (originally $40), a deluxe painted edition for $15.79 (originally $35), and a deluxe hardcover edition for $15.

While Guillermo del Toro is best known for his movies, he also produced several other books during his career.
