Massive outage paralyzes Amazon, Roblox, Fortnite, Snapchat, Slack and other devices

The Amazon Web service outage appears to have brought down many critical websites, social media networks, work platforms, and video games.
Amazon told users that there was a “significant error rate” in requests made to its data storage service DynamoDB in the “US-EAST-1 region.” This area is associated with services hosted in Northern Virginia.
But the problem also affects other services in the area. according to lower detectorVideo games including Roblox and Fortnite were affected, Snapchat seemed to be in trouble, Slack was running slow for many users, and even online banking was experiencing issues. Wordle fans have also reported difficulty logging in.
one Epic's statement Epic confirmed the issue on Fortnite: “The outage affecting multiple services across the internet also affected Fortnite logins.” “We are investigating the matter and will update you when we have more details.”
Latest updates for Amazon Web Services Indicates potential root causes for identified error rates. “Based on our investigation, the issue appears to be related to DNS resolution of the DynamoDB API endpoint in US-EAST-1,” AWS said. “We are working on multiple parallel paths to speed up recovery. This issue also affects other AWS services in the US-EAST-1 region. Global services or features that rely on the US-EAST-1 endpoint, such as IAM updates and DynamoDB Global tables) may also experience issues. Customers may not be able to create or update support cases during this time. We recommend that customers continue to retry any failed requests as we have more information to share, or until 2:45.”
