Battlefield 6 sells 7 million copies in three days, setting a “record”, giving EA's shooter series its best launch ever

Official: Released Battlefield 6 It was a huge success, selling 7 million copies in the game's first three days. Simply put, this is the best launch the series has ever had.
A triumphant press release from EA today described the arrival of Battlefield 6 as “record-breaking,” “explosive,” and, in the words of Battlefield boss Vince Zampella, “hugely significant.”
“We never take moments like this for granted, so I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to our global Battlefield studios and passionate community for helping us get to this point,” Zampella said. “We thank you for joining us on this momentous launch of Battlefield 6. We have a lot more to do in the coming weeks.”
More stats from Battlefield 6's opening weekend: Fans played more than 172 million games and watched more than 15 million hours of live gameplay. Battlefield 6 had a huge launch on Steam, with 747,440 concurrent players online. Sony and Microsoft don't disclose player numbers.
“Battlefield 6” will next launch its first season on October 28, which will add Rogue Ops, new map Blackwell Fields and 4v4 mode.
It's a stunning return for the Battlefield series after the failure of Battlefield 2042, and will likely increase the pressure on this year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which launches on November 14.
