Mouse: PI For Hire gameplay trailer highlights hand-drawn visuals ahead of new in-depth demo | IGN Fall Fan Festival 2025

Publisher PlaySide and developer Fumi Games took to IGN's 2025 Fall Fan Festival to premiere a behind-the-scenes gameplay trailer for their black-and-white boomer shooter, Mouse: PI Rental.
The minute-long video gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at how Fumi used hand-drawn visuals to create a stylized first-person shooter that looks like a cross between Cuphead, Doom, and old-school Disney cartoons. It updates many of Mouse: PI For Hire's locations, characters, and weapons to harken back to the 1920s and 1930s titles, while a 2025 release date for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X has yet to be announced. Today's sneak peek at IGN's Fall Fan Fest 2025 is just a preview of what's to come. Fans can take a closer look at the development of Mouse: PI For Hire as part of the next ID@Xbox Showcase on Tuesday, October 28th at 10am PT / 1pm ET with an in-depth production demo. Meanwhile, that elusive release date will also Finally revealed as part of the Galaxies Gaming Showcase It airs on October 23rd and you can watch it on IGN.
Fumi shows off its eye-catching shooter short trailer 2023. It was then simply called “Mouse” until its full title “Mouse: PI For Hire” appeared its re-revelation End of 2024.
