I have owned a box for years and can prove its quality. The comics are printed on thick art paper, bound well. A fair warning, though: high-quality materials make these books very heavy. Put all three books in a sliding box and you have a 22 pounds worth of comics, so each book weighs about 7.3 pounds.

When I just learned how to read like kindergarten, I read Calvin and Hobbs, and many other long-time fans probably did it too. For early readers, this is not something that is inappropriate, but that it is mostly wisdom that makes Calvin and Hobbes so good. Smart and social commentary can make young readers fly over. When I became an adult, I received even greater appreciation for Calvin and Hobbes.
