Shining's new numbered limited edition will be snatched on Amazon

Stanley Kubrick and Stephen King fans will want to check it out Newly released limited edition Before Amazon sells out. Retailers just listed movie vault Steelbook Special Edition and Solus Steelbook Edition 4K Blu-ray in the classic 1980 horror movie. The regular Steelbook Edition comes with an acetate kit and is currently priced at $48.86. The Steelbook Special Edition is priced at $87.07 and includes the following additional features: One themed cigar box, two posters, five character cards and three behind-the-scenes cards. Each special edition has a 6,000 holographic sticker, so don't expect it to be stocked for a long time.

Shining's Movie Vault Collection Edition is made in the UK and comes with Arealess 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs. Even if you ordered from Amazon’s US storefront, both versions are sold by Amazon Global Stores in the UK and are delivered to the US for free. It seems like it will take about two weeks to deliver the order, but you can get international shipping for free, which is very good.

Before these Amazon pages pop up, the glittering movie vault was unique to Walmart in the United States. Technically, they are still, because we are not “officially” selling any version of Amazon. It is worth noting that Walmart is priced higher: This Steel Book $65 and $100 Special Edition of Steel Book. Walmart sold out at these prices in August. In early September, retailers canceled a bunch of orders due to inventory shortages. The special edition never returned, but Wal-Mart reselled The Steel Book last week and sold out again on release date (October 3). Note: Walmart is now even more expensive due to dealers.

Shiny is one Two early 1980s horror movies 3 in the movie “Bonus 3”. This shiny man was launched with the 1982 supernatural horror movie Poltergeist. Like a glitter, Poltergeist is unique to Walmart in the US, but retailers sold out in both versions. However, again, Amazon has Poltergeist Special Edition Steelbook and Solus Steelbook Inventories are $87.68 and $46.79 respectively. Both versions are from Amazon UK and include 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs. Walmart charges $100 for the special edition and Solus Steelbook charges $65.

Shiny and poltergeist's movie insurance hall limited edition comes with area-free 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs. All four versions are designed by Vice Press and Warner Bros. UK.

The special edition cigar box comes with a large outline of Jack Torrance, and the fireman's axe overlooks (sorry) the Overlook Hotel. On the back of the box is Jack's typewriter, and the script he's working on has a half-full page – just kidding, and it's a sentence over and over again: “All the work and no play make Jack a dull boy.”

The envelope with eight art cards is a replica of the “All Works and No Play” page in the movie. These five character cards showcase unforgettable footage from the movie. The other three cards are behind-the-scenes production photos, including those showing Kubrick.

“Iron and Steel Calculate Art” also displays new movie posters created by Matt Ferguson and Vice Press's Florey. The second poster is a retouched version of the Shining Shining promotional poster released in 1980.

With the help of a special edition, acetate is placed on the cigar box. The title and logo are printed on the kit so you can choose to use or have the artwork without text.

Since the Solus Steelbook version does not include the outer box, the acetate kit is placed directly on the Steelbook Case. Again, the movie title and logo are printed on the transparent kit so the case can be displayed with or without text. To be clear: this is the same Steelbook case found in the special edition.

Matt Ferguson & Florey’s new work comes from a new artwork from Vice Press, recreating Jack Torrance’s struggle in a hedge maze. The back cover features a bathroom door Danny wrote “Redrum” with red lipstick. Interior artwork shows the fence maze in the movie on both sides.

Originally released in 2019, this Shining's 4K Blu-ray remains one of the best restorations in movies today. Shining is displayed in native 4K (2160p) and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. For audio, it has DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

Shining special features

Shining versions of all 4K and Blu-ray versions come with a few excellent special features. The 4K and 1080p discs include optional review tracks with Kubrick's biographer John Baxter and Steadicam inventor Garrett Brown. Other bonus features are found only on standard Blu-ray discs, including behind-the-scenes documentaries.

Kubrick's shining is from Stephen King's classic 1977 horror novel. King is quite famously disliked adaptation. This eventually led to a new miniseries adaptation that aired on ABC in 1997. The miniseries are more faithful to the book, although it is not as rated as people. However, it is definitely worth a look. Calling the factory released Shiny miniseries on Blu-ray In 2024.

Scribner published in 2013 Doctor sleepsthis is a glittering sequel, playing the role of Danny Torrance of adults. Mike Flanagan directed the 2019 film adaptation of Doctor Sleep. The novel and the movie are great, but both reach the same height as the original work (not surprisingly).

Both novels are available for cheap price in Amazon’s hardback and paperback. Shining's trade paperback is available for $11.30 ($20), while Vintage hardback is $19.80 ($45). Meanwhile, Sleep Doctor’s hardback is only $13.78 and paperback is $10.49.

If you are interested in $100 Shining, then you or someone you know is a huge fan, and it's a safe choice. As a big fan of myself, I can say that if I had to choose between a beautiful new version on 4K Blu-ray or a recently released Compendium about this movie, I would have picked out the outline without thinking twice.

Stanley Kubrick's Shining It is a two-volume, 1,396 page box set that provides an amazingly comprehensive observation of the film's production. This beautiful glide series was designed by M/M Paris and was published by Taschen earlier this year.

Written by JW Rinzler and edited by Pixar director Lee Unkrich, the outline is based on hundreds of hours of interviews and investigations on the mountain. The first book includes an introduction by Steven Spielberg, documenting every step of the production. When I received the copy earlier this year, I was amazed at the level of detail offered in the entire 900-page hardcover book. I would be shocked if there was a book that was more thorough about a movie. This book is almost as long as all three volumes Rinzler's “Star Wars Production” serieswhich is also great.

The box set also comes with a gorgeous scrapbook filled with a variety of photos, artworks and documents related to shiny production.

In short: This outline is the best collection of behind-the-scenes material – any medium – I have read it once.

Stanley Kubrick's The Shining has $125 on Amazon, but it's unknown how many copies the publisher has printed and whether it will get other print volumes. When pre-orders opened last summer, Amazon sold out and the box set was out of stock until a few months ago.
