If you're keeping up with all the biggest horror games and are looking for more radar, here's a summary of some of the indie horror games I like this year. They haven't waited for the weird season to debut, but if you haven't played them yet, they'll still make great choices for them when the sun goes down.
Cooked Finally made its debut Out-Kojima-ed His own similar work PT provides players with a weird haunted house story that you may not see where you come from.
Pigeon The upgrade similar to the Leigh Whannell-like hybrid is similar to the Leigh Whannell's Dirty Horror Effects, which will frustrate you but feel uncomfortable.
No, I'm not a human In a world of creepy monsters disguised as humans, imagine some papers, depending on you don’t let impostors enter. It seems like knocking on my door is not disturbing enough.
Heartworm It is a PS1-style horror game such as Resident Evil and Silent Mountain. See where the PS2 era is seen in many retro-style horror games, Heartworm takes it a step further and builds a killer soundtrack to keep you mentally in place.
White joints It's a game I previewed earlier this year. Like Pigface, it's far from a traditional horror game. Instead, this is essentially a climbing simulation, only you are trapped in a dystopian facility that seems to wish you were dead.
Enter the Dead: Our Darkest Days It's basically a rotten 2.5d state. For some people who might feel I'm willing, that's enough. This is a tough and immersive zombie simulation that hopes you die.
night shift is an isolated horror story that takes you alone into a department store in a storm, entity that moves only when you are not watching them. It involves one of the most effective feelings of horror games: someone or somethingright on your heel.
Dead It's a partial live horror story about being an actor, and if you can't seem to make a connection, it can be a great way to bring you into the mind of its protagonist, thanks to some great performances and painful stories.
eclipsium It's a cosmic horror with a retro look that makes me chew on the meaning of it all. It plays like a fever dream, and although it's not scary in the traditional sense, the short triple game is evocative and nightmarish.
Of course, we cannot abandon many notable ones Deadly Company– Time to debut in 2025. This year there is a series of collaborative horror games that allow you to explore creepy places together, all stemming from the deadly corporate rise in late 2024. What you like the most may depend on your preferred settings, visual style, or maybe just what your friends are attracted to. Black water Send you and your partners to operate and repair submarines; storehouse Send you into a haunted house to collect waste and sell; Headline News Take you as a photojournalist in a Clover-like alien attack.
These are all fun and you can't really go wrong. For my money, repos are the best of them, but they all have slightly different itching and I find myself returning to everyone (and deadly companies) at different times.
