Resident Evil: Requiem Developers Still Frustrated with Leon Kennedy
Blog Andrew Joseph 27 Sep , 2025 0

When I walked into an interview with Reiquem Nakanishi and producer Masato kumazama, I asked a lot of questions about the characters, and as far as we know, they have yet to be discovered: Leon Kennedy.
I prepared these questions because the day before my interview, Capcom aired Capcom online plan display Consistent with the Tokyo game show. For the crisis of craving for biochemicals, it seems obvious to me and many of my colleagues that we are finally getting a new trailer that reveals Leon’s official credits in the game to play characters or other aspects.
But this is not what happened. We did see a new trailer, but there was no Leon. After the interview, I previewed it with TGS and lost Leon.
They just laughed when I raised the strangeness of my expectations and the resulting drought of Leon Kennedy to Nakanishi and Kumazawa.
According to Ze, “We will accept this feedback.”
Leon's fan hustle has been going on for several months. Since the game's first trailer seems to contain multiple teases, there's at least a Leon look. But rumors have grown since then, with some suggesting that Leon may appear in the game along with newcomer Grace Ashcroft. nakanishi and kumazawa have Try to put these rumors asideto say Kennedy's lower tone to Reqiuem's low-volume movement was a bad game, but the enthusiasm was persistent anyway, and neither could completely say that we simply couldn't control him, even if it was just a little bit.
Given all this discussion, I asked the two if there were any concerns, and all Leon bullshit was distracting their attempts to position Grace as a gaming star. But they are not worried. According to Zuze, “We are always glad people are interested in games, enough to speculate on so many things.”
So, if the couple so insisted that grace was the new face of this Resident Evil story, could the server be re-entered as a kind of pass between the old Resident Evils? Kawazawa said, not yet.
“Although we don't have a solid plan for future storylines in the series' later titles, I still think it might be a bit too far away through the torch, because not only do we have to wipe the slate completely from the knowledge and history of the series. And, at the same time, I don't want to always revive existing characters to create a part of the New York game, which is part of the introductory motivation.”
We have a preview of Resident Evil: Requiem of Last Month, you can Read our impressions of what we have seen here so far. You can also check out my rest of the discussions with Nakanishi and Kumazawa, including How to enter the Nintendo Switch 2 in Reqiuem. We have Talked to two people before On many other themes, such as the return of Raccoon City and the game's new monster design.
