Helldivers 2 Devs has no sequel plan

Hell 2 It turns out to be one of Sony's few breakthrough live service champions, especially after it cross-platform with the Xbox Series X|S version. But if fans think Helldivers 2 will lead to another dynamic sequel, they might be misunderstood. Arrowhead Game Studio CEO Shams Jorjani's ambition for Helldivers 2 is to keep it going forever.
In a recent article Disharmonious (pass GamesRadar) Jorjani wrote: “No plan (Helldivers 3) – just (Helldivers 2) will do it.” He continued: “Think runescape” to convey the idea of keeping the same game alive for years. Runescape did end up getting two sequels that were largely updated versions of the original game. Helldivers 2 itself was released nine years after its predecessor, although its exponential and greater success certainly justifies a more timely sequel.
