Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza patch squash annoying bugs

Since Nintendo launched Switch 2 in June Mario Karting World and Donkey Banana Has become the early flagship title of the system. While Mario Kart World fans will notice more differences and improvements in the game, this week also gave the latest updates to both games.

Mario Kart World Patch ver. 1.3.0 Many welcome changes have been made for free roaming, including using a second player to play the mode if the game is full while trying to play with friends. It will also be easier to encounter UFOs and find favorites in free roaming, especially now that the game will let you know what items you have found on the map.

This patch solves some annoying bugs, such as losing its ranking if you get off the boundaries of the finish line, or if you get stuck on the Bowser's castle wall when using Bullet Bill. Most bug fixes are best described as changes in quality of life, rather than problems that ruin the game.

Surprisingly, donkey banana ver. 2.0.1 Only some issues with this patch are resolved. Pauline's shouting will now be consistent with the language the player has chosen. Before the update, there was a known issue where her shouting would not play when English was selected as the system language. The update also resolves a bug that prevents players from claiming the record as a reward for finding all balloons in Bananza rehearsal.

• You can now join friends to play the Knockout Tour by selecting Friends from “Online Play” “1p”.
• Now, if you try to join the “Online Play” of “Contest”, “Destroy” or “Combat”, up to 2 players can wait for “Free Roaming” while waiting for the match.
• Now the Free Roaming map shows where the P switch you ran through and the Peach Medal you won.
• You can now select a P switch from the map and move to a position near the P switch.
• In Free Roaming, you can now transform into a character pulling into a UFO.
• If “Dash Food” in “Settings/Controller” is set to “Don't Convert”, you will not convert.

• The time between displaying rankings through checkpoints and showing rankings in “Knockout” and “LAN Play” in “Wireless Games” is reduced.
• The frequency of Circle-type courses is further increased when selecting the next course in “VS Race” and Wireless Races.

Fixed issues

• Fixed an issue in “Online Games” and “Wireless Games” where the rankings sometimes become incorrect if players enter the finish line at the same time.
• Fixed issues in “Jackpot”, “Knockout Journey” and “VS Race” where CPU rankings sometimes drop after reaching the finish line.
• Fixed an issue in “Knockout Journey” in “Online Games” where other players' ratings sometimes appear as “0” on the results screen.
• Fixed an issue where the Thorn Shell sometimes passes first in “Wireless Games” or “Online Games”.
• Fixed an issue where players were sometimes sent to fly backward when hit by a stinged shell.
• Fixed an issue where the second item in the project slot sometimes did not disappear when lightning hit.
• Fixed an issue where hitting the bottom of a post in the air can sometimes cause a large jump.
• Fixed an issue that sometimes causes movement to become unstable while driving on the water.
• Fixed an issue where players are sometimes strongly swept after logging in when they are on the river.
• Fixed an issue where players sometimes cross the ground when they sometimes crashed into a car driving on the road.
• Fixed an issue in Free Roaming where players sometimes won't get into the pipeline properly after exiting the trailer.
• Fixed an issue where the screen sometimes twisted after observing Balloon Wars in Online Games.
• Fixed an issue where the game sometimes doesn't go to the course selection screen after exiting the pipeline during Free Roaming in Online Games.
• Fixed an issue where sometimes it would slide off the wall when used in “High Sundae”.
• Fixed an issue where players were sometimes trapped at the start of the game when they were sometimes trapped in “Flying Fortress” to “Shy Guy Busal”.
• Fixed an issue where players sometimes get stuck in a wall when using the bullet bill in Bowser Castle.
• Fixed an issue in “Cheep Cheep Cheep Falls” that sometimes it was difficult to pick up the item box when the smart steering was turned on.
• Fixed an issue in “Knockout Tour” and “Step Rally” where sometimes there is an item box on the ground.
• Several other issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

Fixed issues

• Fixed an issue where players could not get discs as rewards for collecting all balloons of Bananza rehearsal.
• If the above problem occurs in the game. At 2.0.0 or earlier, after the stage begins, the player will be able to enter Bananza rehearsal after downloading this updated data.
• The fixed problem is that some of Pauline's shouts cannot play when the language of the Nintendo Switch 2 system is set to the voice of the travel partner in “English (UK/Australia)” and “Options”.
