Original Nintendo ANIMAL CROSSING On GameCube, it helps many of today's comfort games. Adorable animal villagers enjoy a happy experience to a large extent, but a new AI hacker feels that Tom Nook – a raccoon that basically uses the bell as currency to control the local economy is a tyrant who needs to decline.
Software Engineer Josh Fonseca Created this animal crossing hacker (by ARS Technica), he explains in detail how he implements it in the included YouTube video. GameCube software is not really designed for such hacking, but Fonseca will eventually find its own way out and give animals some commands that can be understood through game code.
Fonseca initially tried to write new conversations for characters using a single real-time language model AI, while also drawing their personality traits from an online wiki. According to Fonseca, this approach failed because he asked the AI to do too much. Finally, he put aside an AI plan to handle the conversation, while another program basically directs the presentation in its game.
After doing this, Fonseca introduces some modern elements into the game, including news about current affairs. He also cleverly instructed the AI to portray resentment towards Tom Nook, who grew up among the villagers over time. The villagers have no final conclusions in the face of Tom, but it is a very interesting twist for these gentle creatures.
