Rocky Horror Picture Show Celebrates 50 Years of Steel Book Blu-ray Release

The iconic rock horror picture show will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year Rock horror pictures show 50th anniversary collection steel plate version 4K Blu-ray. This new version marks the first release of this cult classic musical horror comedy movie in 4K. In addition to the collection steel box with new cover art, the two-dish set also features a long list of bonus materials, including a 4k new cut of the movie. Rock Horror Pictures Show 50th Anniversary Steel Book 4K Blu-ray will be launched on October 7, with pre-orders on Amazon for $40.

This two-disc 50th anniversary edition of Rock Horror Pictures includes 4K movies for the first time and supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound and Dolby Vision HDR. It also comes with a digital copy of standard Blu-ray and movies. You will also get rewards features distributed in 4K Blu-ray and traditional Blu-ray discs, including the karaoke-style Sing-Along Cut, an audio review by screenwriter and actor Richard O'Brien and actress Patricia Quinn, deleted scenes and more. Along with the movie and Collectible Steelbook case, the new 50th anniversary 4K Blu-ray release includes a long list of bonus materials. While most of the content, such as deleted scenes and alternative attractions, can be removed from previous Blu-ray and DVD versions (currently out of print), this new version will also include several new reviews and singing tracks that can be watched along with the new 4K Remaster. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a film adaptation of Richard O'Brien's 1973 stage musical. Then comes a newly engaged couple, Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), whose cars break down in a remote countryside. The two end up attending a strange party at a castle owned by a mysterious Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played by Tim Curry in his on-screen debut role. It's a wild movie that combines comedy, horror and musical genres into a unique film that won worship when it premiered in 1975 and to this day.
