Border 4 is officially Release on September 12 for most platform. The exception is the Switch 2 Edition, which won't arrive until later in October. This is one of the most anticipated games of 2025, and fans of the Border series have been waiting for it to arrive because it is First announced last year.
However, with our release date, you might be wondering that it is actually worth pre-ordering the game now or waiting. I've played Each main line border game With my father over the years, this is a question that I am particularly interested in. My dad told me that he planned to book a super deluxe version of the game purely for adding DLC, but I thought I might wait a moment to see if I could enjoy the discount later. There are a lot to consider, but to get started, here is a quick summary of the major versions you can book.
Borderlands 4 bookings – included with each version
There are actually only two versions of the game that are worth pre-ordering. There is a standard version, and the basic game is included and Booking bonuses and super deluxe versions, with a bunch of extras. Here is a quick breakdown of each:
Standard Edition
The standard version of the game is exactly what it sounds like. This is the basic game for any platform you choose. If you decide to book before posting, you will receive a booking bonus called The The Gilded glory bag. This includes the Vault Hunter Skin, Weapon Skin and Echo 4 Drone Skin. In addition to that, you will also get a copy of the game on the first day and be able to play the game immediately.
Super Deluxe Edition
The super luxury version of the game is almost twice the cost of a basic game. It includes the full base game, Firehawk's Anger Weapon Skin, Gorgeous Order Pack, Bounty Pack Bundle, Vault Hunter Pack and Booking Bonus Gilded Glory Pack. However, the main reason for getting this version is for additional DLC content and playable characters Bounty bag bundle and Vault Hunter Pack. These two add-ons include new realms, missions, bosses, areas to explore, and two other playable characters that the basic game does not bring.
Is it actually worth booking?
If you're on a fence that determines whether it's worth booking, I'd say it really depends on whether you're willing to pay the full price for the game, whether you care about booking bonuses or not, and whether you care about playing the game on the first day. The price of the game is unlikely to really drop into next year, so if you Do Really want to dig into it on the first day and then there is really no reason not to snap up reservations now. The reward you get is just some extra skins and weapons, so if you don't care the real benefit is to get a dungeon as soon as possible.
However, as with any AAA title, it is worth noting that you may compete with the mistakes you may be competing with in the early stages of the game. Randy Pitchford has been made Comments on Day 1 Patch Once you actually own the game, you have to download it, and there will most likely be more patches. So if you want the best gameplay experience, it may be worth waiting for all the tangles.
Personally, I plan to wait until the game is discounted simply because I can’t stand the full payment of any video game. I was definitely happy to be playing the co-op with my dad, but since he retired he would hit the whole thing multiple times by himself and then I was actually ready to jump in there with him so I wasn't in a hurry to buy it now.
