Border 4 Boss Randy Pitchford suggests a booking bundle for the game, which includes a free Fortnite Skins, which could become a worthwhile investment – received “over $2,000” when skins in previous border areas “traded on eBay”.
Pitchford wrote on social media that highlighted the robber’s epic game store reservations, the offer unlocks Fortnite’s Mad Moxxi Skin. But players are quick to point out that the “deal” violates Fortnite’s terms of service and has the potential to lead to an injunction.
“When trading on eBay, the reward spirit gangster skins that are booked sometimes become one of the most valuable skins in Fortnite?” Pitchford Write. “The value of this bundle is much higher than the game being promoted?”
First of all, it is worth breaking down what Pitchford refers to. The Psychological Gangster Skin he mentioned was originally released in 2019 as part of the Epic Game Store promotion similar to Borderlands 3. It can also be briefly described by Fortnite's Item Shop – disappearing over a long sale.
It was during this time that the skin really became a coveted item among Fortnite players, although its perceived value dropped significantly when it returned to sales in April 2025, and after five years of gap, it once again became widespread and considerable.
Fortnite Skins believes it is rare or impossible to sell again, but it usually attracts players' interest, although Fortnite itself certainly does not have any ability to sell or trade products in the game with other players. Instead, some players just buy or sell accounts containing rare items – the epic game is Clear Violate the company's terms of service and risk a long-term (or permanent) ban.
When considering whether buying Borderlands 4 is simply because of its attached Fortnite skin, all of which is worth a look, it is indeed the best course for making money plans. But hey, At least the game isn't $80.
Borderlands 4 will be launched on Friday, September 12th via Steam and the epic game store (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/s). The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be followed on October 3.
