Diablo developer votes in Blizzard

More than 450 developers in Blizzard’s game Diablo game voted for joint with the Communications Workers of the United States (CWA).
According to the press release, the new union is composed of game developers, artists, designers, engineers and support staff for the Diablo series and has been officially recognized by parent company Microsoft.
“Every round of layoffs followed, I've witnessed my colleagues' fears grow stronger because there's no hard work enough to protect us,” said Kelly Yeo, game producer and organization committee member. “I'm glad we've built a coalition – it's just the first step to joining a movement that's tired of living in fear. We're ready to start fighting for real change with our Diablo colleagues.”
Microsoft About 9,100 employees were fired earlier this yearincluding its members in Activision Blizzard's gaming division.
Diablo Team follows the footsteps of hundreds of active blizzards and wider Xbox colleagues Microsoft's Labor Neutral Agreement. Like Diablo, The entire Warcraft team last year allianceand Overwatch developers follow this May. Other Xbox unions include Crow Software Worker, just won his first contract earlier this month,,,,, Zenimax QA workers receive contract in Maythis Bethesda Leaguethis Story and Chartered Development Teamand there are a few others.
To date, more than 3,500 Microsoft workers have been organized with the CWA.
