The weird game is best played in one of two ways: you either turn off all the lights to set the mood or work with a few friends to solve the unknown horror, so everyone screams along the way. Blumhouse Games and Dublin's Studio Gambrinous are pleased to encourage the latter with the eyes of Hellfire, which uses one of Steam's game sharing features to get your friends to participate in the action.
Steam's built-in Friends pass feature will allow one player with Hellfire eyes to share the game with up to four other players for free. However, those who play on the friend pass will not be able to gain meta-progress or other privileges. Only those who buy games can take advantage of them.
Officials declare that Hellfire’s Eyes are “a cooperative Gothic Horror game inspired by Irish folklore,” the announcement brings five players into a dark and ghostly cabin with a simple goal: escape. The organization must explore, solve puzzles, and fight against vicious hordes of demons and other weird entities in order to get through the huts and escape.
Players have made detailed measures, useful projects, etc. through the hotel through a card-based system. Plus, each player must heal with a specific “curse” to escape the hotel, even if “curse” involves betraying your friend in some way.
Hellfire's eyes entered early on PC today via Steam. Early access roadmap provided by Blumhouse and Gambrinous has plans for new scenarios, playable characters, monsters, puzzles and more in the coming months.
