Three years later, Pokémon Go finally unlocks the mythical creature Keldeo for everyone – but those who used to pay $8 won't get another

Next season Go Pokémon IGN will not include players who paid $7.99 to own the creature during the original release and will no longer give me the return of the long-awaited fabulous unicorn Keldeo.
Pokémon Go's 20th season “Thale of Transformation” will mark the first time Keldeo has been released in the game since December 2022, when a limited-time special research, including the creature, was briefly sold.
Over the past few years, the long wait has been emerging in players again, especially new fans who have been waiting to unlock their Pokédex entry.
As part of the main storyline of the season, all players will receive Keldeo-centric research – which will also unlock decisive forms that the beast was previously unavailable. However, IGN was told in a pre-announcement brief that existing Keldeo owners will not receive a second Keldeo as part of the study, but will only receive more Keldeo candy.
Today’s new season details come from a series of revelations from the PokémonGO team, including yesterday’s Major announcement that the game's level cap will be raised to 50 from October.
Among other (not too significant but very cute) news, in-game celebrations for the Netflix Stop-Motion series Pokémon Concierge were announced this morning, which included a special Psyduck in a rubber ring outfit. Going forward, DataMining shows that details of the Pokémon Go Wild Area event in late 2025 are coming, and the evidence points to some kind of remote trading option.
