Lego Batman: The Dark Knight's Legacy is more than another Lego game

Look: Like many of you, I suffer from LEGO fatigue. Whether I have adapted the Avengers or the owner of the ring or the owner of Indiana Jones or any other property of Lego, for many years so There are many Lego games, and each game has a lot to do. It is impossible to maintain or maintain my interest.
But the Lego franchise seems to have turned around now, because LEGO Star Wars: Legend of Skywalker Even though the core LEGO game collection loop is retained, it's a beautiful introduction to the entire series. Lego Batman: The Legacy of the Dark Knight It looks even more out of the way, standing firmly in his love for Batman in all his media avatars.
At first, Lego Batman: The Legacy of the Dark Knight looks like an anthology of various LEGO Batman movies similar to LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga, but that's not true. Call it Fusion Batman movies and other influences and stories to create new things and original works in various parts. That way, it's perfect Lego.
For example, the story mission I played on Gamescom was done at Axis Chemicals, which fans of the 1989 Michael Keaton movie will immediately see as the birthplace of the Joker. But instead of sending Jack Napier to destroy evidence of crime in the chemical plant (though, the situation becomes the setting that kills him for sleeping with Moll, the boss, to kill him), it is Red Hood #1, the leader of the Red Hat gang, because we've seen the Joker's origin story in some comics. Red Hood is using the factory to create a strange new compound that makes the victim laugh uncontrollably until he dies. Under the hood is Jack Nicholson's unquestionable (and very passable) impression, so the character is not no Batman '89 Joker, but he blends in with other stories.
Again, at least in this demo, Batman facing him is the character of Robert Pattinson, accompanied by Jim Gordon, who looks a lot like Lego Jeffrey Wright, and everyone comes from the 2022 film Batman.

The mix and match of various great moments of Batman movie history is at the heart of the Dark Knight's legacy spirit, which sets the ambitious goal of all Batman movies with other media's woven elements as a coherent story. Asked what this means for the repetitive roles played by different actors, TT Games' Jonathan Smith told Gamespot that there might be something terrible going on for Joker that would make him even more sinister and obvious, but no doubt, but like Heath Ledger's layoffs in The Dark Knight.
The same sense of play extends to Easter eggs, which has been a LEGO staple, but feels more focused here. Rather than collecting a hundred fools to unlock 200 different but mechanically identical characters, it’s better to unlock a deep style for Batman and Commissioner Gordon. These include some you expect, such as iconic movie appearances, and some you might not. Batman looks especially good in his brave and bold outfits after the 2008 cartoon show.
Both Batman and Gordon appear based on their first comics, including Bat's clumsy big cat ears, Gordon's white suit and soft mustache. The most surprising thing is Batman's Rainbow Suita LEGO version of a classic and extremely stupid Silver Age comic book that has achieved iconic camp status.

But, not content to borrow money only from the great Batman movies, The Legacy of the Dark Knight also borrows from the Big Batman game. The battle is obviously inspired by the Arkham series, as Batman can take the stealth removal measures of the unsuspecting Lego Enemies or jump into the middle of a brawl with a timing-based fight. This is simplified in some ways – the timing window is wider, the visual indicator is larger than the Arkham game, and you only have two gadgets to use in combat. But in the minds of Arkham fans, a deep respect is given to mechanics as important as any movie. The Legacy of the Dark Knights also introduces difficult levels to get young or experienced players like Batman while fighting for more experienced Arkham fans, and this is the first time I remember a limited library of life to have an encounter.
Just like the later Arkham game, the Hub World is a vast Gotham city that can be explored freely. You can stop crime, find bat trucks, crushed collections like penguin rubber ducks, and Skulk along the roof, or glide gracefully between them. You can pull it to increase your speed and then float, and if you accumulate enough energy by defeating the thug, you can launch higher air into the air for a bird's-eye view of the city. If you have more styles, you can call up Batmobile anywhere in the open world. I only saw iterations of Batman's Robert Pattinson's muscle car in the demo, but TT Games has ridiculed more Batmobile and can be freely equipped like Batman and Gordon's costumes.
After Skywalker Saga, I really don't know what to expect in the TT game, but The Legacy of the Dark Knight is a really pleasant surprise. Once you build the LEGO collection, you might take it apart and see what you see from all the parts. TT Games looks like it's done in Batman mythology, and I can't wait to see what they built out of it.
