Black Myth: Wukong Developer GamesCience revealed a sequel, Black Myth: Zheng Ku, during a live show in the 2025 opening ceremony.
Host Geoff Keighley described Jungkong as “a ghost and god wandering between hell and the earth” on the stage on Gamescom. Despite the announcement by Jang Kuyi, Kigley insists that the Black Myth: Wu Jin won't end here, which shows that DLC is still on the way.
“In the context of classic Chinese folk tales, “Zhong kui expels evil,” Black Myth: Zhong Kui is a single-player action role-playing game rooted in ancient Chinese fantasies,” Gamesscience said. “The game will provide unique experiences and game features to push our limits, while also bringing new ideas and necessary changes to address past flaws and regrets.”
Black Myth: Zhongku is currently in its early stages of development and there is no release date so far. The trailer trailer is as follows:
Here is the official statement from GamesScience:
New Black Myth Title – officially unveiled today!
Until human hearts arise, no ghosts walk across the earth.
On the stage, the gods belong to the demons – their perfect art.
Indoors and outside, judges are bound by the same family relationship;
The sun is covered, the moon remains unmoved – Who commands who lives and who dies?
I turned from worldly tangles and its code to glory sledding with sleds.
I lift the sword-I lift it to fight;
With it, I will judge wrong and correct!
“Black Myth: Zhong Kui” (the second article in the Black Myth series) developed by GamesCience officially unveiled its first CG Teaser trailer today and made its debut in 2025 on Gamescom's opening night live broadcast.
This single-player action role-playing game draws major creative inspiration from the famous Chinese folk character “Zhong Kui”. As the project is still under development in the early stages, there are currently no in-game video recordings.
Black Myth: Wukong is a record-breaking action game that launched last year on PC and PlayStation 5, selling 10 million copies in just three days. Xbox Series X and S versions are available on August 20, 2025.
