Following the popular Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 1, the developer DICE outlines the changes and additions fans can expect in the upcoming weekend 2 and confirms its start time.
Weekend 2 today, August 14, UTC starts at 8 a.m. (PT) and lasts until Sunday, August 17.
exist Blog PostsDICE outlines the playlist adjustments made on weekend 2 and proposes reasoning. What you need to know here is that a comprehensive war playlist will include Breakthrough, Conquest and Rush.
“Dice said, “During Week 2, we will offer more variety and options so that you want to rotate more playlists between multiple different game modes.”
“For example, a comprehensive war playlist will include breakthrough, conquest, and rush. The in-game description of each mode will tell you which modes are included in the spin.
“Swiping multiple modes in the playlist helps us understand what the community enjoys when shaping the launch experience and allows us to keep more fans’ favorite modes at the same time.”
The dice says the daily spinning playlist is specific to open beta: “Although we are still able to test and collect feedback and there is no plan to release.”

Meanwhile, DICE has added a custom search option for Weekend 2. The developers stressed that this is the server browser now and some fans want to see it.
“Based on your previous feedback and giving you more control over map and pattern selection, we're introducing a new feature called Custom Search,” Dice said.
“This feature allows you to choose your favorite combination of maps and patterns. For example, if you want to conquer the siege in Cairo, the matchmaking agency will prioritize matching you to this combination, if any. Note that this is not a server browser (not tested this week).
“During the open beta, custom searches are available for open weapon mode playlists, so you can mix and match maps and patterns as you like.”
The Battlefield 6 Open hit over half a million concurrent players on Steam last weekend, so it would be fun to see if Weekend 2 could beat that number. Either way, first-person shooters are very interested, which is very good for October’s launch.
