007 First Light Adds Marvel Star Gemma Chan to James Bond Game Cast

Gemma Chan is part of Marvel's Eternal Star and the Crazy Rich Asians star 007 First Light Throw.

Chan will play Selina Tan, an original character created for the upcoming James Bond Adventure of killer developer IO Interactive.

As revealed today on the Xbox Tokyo Game Show radio, Chan will be head of tactical simulation with MI6's Q Branch. This is the first time Chan has made his voice similar to a video game.

“Selina Tan is a senior MI6 figure overseeing the agency’s tactical simulation division, a program designed to test and refine the skills of Britain’s most promising recruits,” today’s press release said.

“Once a rising star in the academic world with a background in psychology and strategy, she later left her mark in the private sector, leading advanced research in immersive technology, and then joining MI6 to lead the tactical simulation department. Using the rigorous and strategic vision of science, she is a unique asset in British intelligence.”

Chan joins the star cast of 007 First Light, led by Patrick Gibson of Dexter: Original Sin, the new young James Bond. Lennie James, worried about the Walking Dead, served as Bond's mentor John Greenway. Previous announcements also confirmed Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny and Noémie Nakai as Miss Roth.

“It was an exciting experience to join James Bond's world,” Chen said in a statement today. “Selina Tan is a fascinating character and I can't wait for the players to see her. It's an absolute privilege to bring Selina to life, to life in 007 First Light.”

007 First Light sets the release date for March 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
